Privacy Policy for 3x3 Cube Solver: CubePilot

Privacy Policy for 3x3 Cube Solver: CubePilot

Effective date: August 31, 2026

3x3 Cube Solver (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use the App.

By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

The App does not require you to create an account or directly provide your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location.

The App processes limited information needed to provide cube scanning, solving, advertising, and purchase features.

Camera Access

The App may request permission to use your device’s camera to recognize the colors on each face of your cube.

Camera frames are processed locally on your device. The cube scanner does not upload, save, or share camera images with us or our service providers.

You may deny or revoke camera access through your device’s Settings. If camera access is unavailable, you can enter cube colors manually.

Information Stored on Your Device

The App may store the following information locally:

  • Your completed free-solve count
  • Premium entitlement status
  • Purchase-recovery information
  • Advertising frequency information
  • Temporary solver data and cached calculation files
  • App preferences

The free-solve count may be stored in the iOS Keychain and may remain on the device after the App is deleted and reinstalled. This information is not used to identify you and is not transmitted to us.

Advertising and Tracking

The free version of the App uses Google Mobile Ads, also known as Google AdMob, to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements.

Google and its advertising partners may process information such as:

  • Your IP address
  • Device and app information
  • Advertising identifiers
  • General or approximate location inferred from your IP address
  • Advertisement impressions, clicks, and interactions
  • Usage, performance, fraud-prevention, and diagnostic information

Where required, the App requests permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework before accessing the device’s advertising identifier. If you deny tracking permission, the App may still display contextual or non-personalized advertisements, and Google may still process limited information necessary to deliver, measure, secure, and prevent fraud involving those advertisements.

In some jurisdictions, information processed for personalized advertising may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under applicable privacy laws.

You can learn more from:

When an active Premium subscription is verified, the App prevents Google banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements from loading.

Purchases and Subscriptions

The App offers in-app purchases and subscriptions. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details.

The App uses RevenueCat to provide, verify, restore, and manage purchase entitlements. RevenueCat receives purchase history, subscription status, product information, transaction information, and a randomly generated anonymous App User ID. The App does not provide RevenueCat with your name or email address.

RevenueCat may retain purchase information for subscription management, analytics, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

For more information, review:

You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account subscription settings. You may restore eligible purchases using the “Restore Purchases” option in the App.

Log and Diagnostic Data

If the App or a third-party service encounters an error, limited technical information may be processed. This information may include the device type, operating-system version, app version, network information, IP address, date and time of the event, advertising interactions, and other diagnostic details.

We use this information only to operate the App, deliver advertisements, verify purchases, prevent fraud, diagnose problems, and improve reliability.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The App does not explicitly use browser cookies.

However, Google Mobile Ads and other service providers may use advertising identifiers, IP addresses, local storage, software development kits, or similar technologies to deliver and measure their services. Your ability to control these technologies depends on your device settings, tracking choice, regional consent options, and the controls provided by the applicable service provider.

Service Providers

We use third-party service providers for the following purposes:

  • Google AdMob for advertising and advertising measurement
  • RevenueCat for purchase and subscription management
  • Apple for App Store distribution, payments, and subscription processing

These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and only for purposes connected with providing their services, legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, and their other disclosed purposes.

Data Retention

Local App data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the relevant feature. Most locally stored information can be removed by deleting the App, although information stored in the iOS Keychain, including the free-solve count, may remain after deletion or reinstallation.

Purchase and advertising information processed by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat is retained according to each provider’s policies and applicable legal obligations.

Because the App does not provide user accounts or operate a developer-controlled user database, we may not possess information that can be directly associated with you.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information.

You can also:

  • Deny or revoke camera permission in iOS Settings
  • Deny tracking permission or change it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
  • Manage Apple advertising preferences in your device settings
  • Purchase Premium to prevent advertisements from loading
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account
  • Delete the App to remove most locally stored information

Requests involving data controlled by Google, Apple, or RevenueCat may need to be submitted directly to the applicable provider.

Security

We value your trust and use reasonable measures to protect the information handled by the App. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Links to Other Sites

The App or advertisements displayed within it may contain links to external websites or services. We do not operate or control those external services and are not responsible for their content, privacy policies, or practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you visit.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended to collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly request names, email addresses, contact information, or other directly identifying information from children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the matter and take appropriate action.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted with a revised effective date. You are encouraged to review this policy from time to time.

Before publishing, ensure the app’s AdMob configuration includes the required consent flow for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland; Apple’s tracking permission prompt alone does not satisfy Google’s regional consent requirements. This draft should also replace the shorter policy currently embedded in the app so both versions remain consistent.
